Yongki Hong, MRICS

Yongki joined Dwyer Lynch & Co in 2015.

He previously worked in the legal industry, both in a firm of solicitors as well as a barrister’s chambers and is responsible for advising on various statutory and contractual valuation disputes.  Yongki is a member of the RICS and focuses largely on complex rating and government rent disputes as well as acting as the retained expert surveyor for office landlords for ongoing rent review and tenancy administration advice.

Work Experience

Prior to joining Dwyer Lynch & Co, Yongki worked in the legal industry, both in a firm of solicitors as well as a barristers’ chambers.  During his time at Dwyer Lynch & Co, Yongki has been involved in a broad range of projects, incorporating a range of rental and capital valuations across different industries and sectors, as well as various advisory roles in statutory and contractual valuation disputes.  He focuses mostly on complex rating and government rent disputes, as well as acting as the retained expert surveyor for office landlords regarding ongoing rent review and tenancy administration advice.

Recent Successes

Yongki has been at the forefront of landmark successes for ratepayers in Hong Kong with regard to the rateability and proper structuring of tenements, as well as the legal implications in assessing rateable value.  He has also been instrumental in rental disputes arising out of office portfolios for various landlords.
